    stunning views
    cold rooms
    ineffective light fixtures

Ballynona House offers stunning countryside views.

During our stay, we experienced discomfort due to the cold attic rooms, which had a temperature in the low 60s. Additionally, the windows were not airtight, leading to condensation, and light fixtures were intermittently functional. It was concerning to hear noises from rodents in the attic, which added to our unease during the night.

Couples looking for a lovely getaway

Kamla really knows how to make you feel welcome, went above and beyond with a full Irish breakfast, everything was fresh and tasty. A total game changer, not just food, it was an experience.

It was a bit pricey but honestly worth it for the experience you get.

    poor maintenance
    cold room

Sad, sad, sad! I expected to be treated like royalty, yet I was left in a drafty attic room with no heat and unreliable lighting, perfect for a horror movie. The lack of a shower curtain made washing impossible. I almost rated it positively, but what happened to proper care for guests? I just couldn’t do it.

The tree-lined driveway captures the essence of

the tranquil countryside, giving a warm welcome to this charming B&B. Kamla, the host, truly embodies Irish hospitality, making every guest feel at home. The communal breakfast with other guests was a delightful social experience, even as the shower stall felt a bit cramped.

    comfy bed
    quirky vibe
    strong wi-fi
    tired decor
    narrow roads

I stayed in the Budget Double Room for a night and really liked it. The bed was super comfy. I appreciated the heated blanket on a chilly evening. The room had a lovely quirky vibe. The house itself does show some age, but that adds to the charm, I think. The strong Wi-Fi helped me stay connected. Overall, a cozy place to rest after exploring.

Absolutely loved my stay! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and Kamla's homemade soda bread at breakfast was a game changer. I would definitely return, but the shared bathroom was a bit inconvenient.
